Hi, I'm Angie and I'm your Area Service Manager, I used to manage this area several years ago and now I'm back!!
I carried out a Neighbourhood Audit in August in both Welton & Dunholme, it was pleasant to see that most areas are tidy and rubbish free however, there are some gardens that are untidy with rubbish and the grass needs cutting, I am addressing this with the residents. If these gardens are not cut and tidied we will consider enforcement action being taken.
I have found issues at Stewart Close, Welton.
Parking on pavements, front gardens and blocking other residents driveways. One property in particular has vehicles being worked on i.e welding, working on engines of different vehicles etc. I am addressing this with the resident and again if this continues we may consider enforcement action.
The communal grassed area is an area for all residents to enjoy however, the area is constantly covered in childrens toys and rubbish, a letter has gone out to all residents regarding this issue and it is disappointing to see this is still happening. The photograph below was taken on a day where are contractors had been out a cut the grass. There is also a 'No ball games' sign up on this area, which is being ignored by children and adults!! There is a wooden fence at the end of the communal area and when footballs are being kicked at the fence, it has been reported, the noise echoes through some of the properties. Also the wooden fence has been broken and children have been climbing through the fence onto private land. I have visited with a member of our Asset Management Team and we have agreed for an iron fence to be placed in front of the wooden fence, we are hoping this will elleviate this problem.
Another issue we have is driving onto the communal grassed area, again myself and a member of our Asset Management Team have visited and agreed that concrete posts will be placed around the area in front of the turning circle to stop this happening in the future.
