Langworth walkabout with the Local Councillors

Walkabout

We had a lovely walk around Langworth with the local councillors on Wednesday 8 April, and it gave us a great chance to take a closer look at the village together.

Footpaths

If you weren’t aware, some of the footpaths are in pretty poor condition. The Parish Council has been receiving comments about this for quite a while, and they’re continuing to work with Lincolnshire County Council to get things sorted.

Plans for footpath repairs

As part of this, Langworth Parish Council reached out to us because some hedges on certain properties have become quite overgrown. In a few places, this is actually stopping the County Council from being able to carry out repairs to the footpaths. Over the years, some paths have also narrowed as hedges and garden boundaries have crept onto them.

We’ll be chatting with the residents this affects to see whether hedges need trimming back or if garden boundaries might need a little adjustment so the footpaths can be restored properly.

Gardens

On a brighter note, it was genuinely lovely to see how much pride residents take in their gardens. As we walked around, it was clear how much care goes into keeping the village looking welcoming — and it really didn’t go unnoticed.
