April 2024 Sleaford Audit

Areas of concern raised

We've noticed a few concerns that need to remedied:

  • A bench and household items at the front of the flats creates a potential fire risk as this has been used as a smoking area.
  • Household items and rubbish left in communal areas and behind walls in the car park including shopping trolleys abandoned creates an untidy feel to the communal spaced.
  • There is damaged fencing in the car park that is in need of repair.
  • There is non-roadworthy cars in the car park area.

Action taken.

We've taken the below actions to respond to these concerns:

  • Residents were asked to relocate the bench or it would be removed. However, the bench has not be relocated. Acis will be removing the bench and items left at the front of the flats.
  • All items have been identified to be removed by our clearance team. Residents will be informed that if we continue to remove household items and rubbish then they will be re-charged for the removal of items. Residents will need to contact North Kesteven District Council to request for household items to be disposed of. They can be contacted on https://www.n-kesteven.gov.uk/
  • The damaged fence has been reported to our Asset team to either be replaced, repaired or removed.
  • Residents have been identified who have non-roadworthy vehicles parked at Tamer Road. They have been informed these vehicles need to be removed as they are not permitted to be parked on Acis land. If they are not removed, then Acis will arrange for removal. Residents can also report non roadworthy vehicles to the DVLA. https://www.gov.uk/report-no-mot
