Estate Audit - October 2025
Following an estate audit, the following was highlighted -
Issues highlighted
- Gardens overgrown and accumulated rubbish left in gardens around the Saxilby area
- At Oaklands, there was rubbish dumped in the bin area and around the building. Broken household items were also left in the communal lounge

- Parking being limited at Oaklands due to the new bin stores location.
Actions taken
- We have contacted all residents where untidy gardens have been highlighted. We are working with our residents to ensure gardens are kept maintained. We are aware that some of our residents are elderly and may need some assistance with managing their gardens. If you are elderly and need assistance with your garden, did you know that Lincolnshire Age UK provide a gardening service with a reliable gardener to allow you to enjoy and maintain your outdoor space. We have provided their details in the 'important links' on this page. They can also be contacted on 01522 696 000
- There is also support available for residents related to the Armed Forces. If you are related to the Armed Forces, there is a wealth of advice and support available. This can be found through the Armed Forces Community Directory. This directory is where you can find not only national information, but regional and local information where you can seek help, support and advice. This can include help with finances and benefits, where to find social groups, physical and mental health support and much more. The link can be found on the 'important links' on this page.
- Our clearance team have attended Oaklands to remove rubbish and household items left in the internal and external communal areas. Residents are reminded that all rubbish in the bin store must be placed in the bins provided. If rubbish cannot be placed in the bins, then a bulky collection will need to be arranged through West Lindsey District Council. The link is available in the 'important links' on this page
Improvements
Residents at Oaklands have raised concerns of the limited parking at the rear of the building due to the location of the bin store. As there are no clear parking bays marked out, we have requested to mark out any suitable parking bays to allow easier parking for residents.
We welcome any new ideas to improve our neighbourhoods, and would ask residents to contact us to share these ideas with us.
