New Recycling Bins

I am writing to make you aware there will be 2 new communal recycling bins added to the bin store soon for this block.

One will be a black recycling bin which is for Bottles, tins, cans

The second one will be a green recycling bin which is for cardboard and paper.

The general waste bins will remain the same.

Can I please stress the importance of breaking down your rubbish to allow more room in the bin for example breaking down large cardboard boxes as well as ensuring the correct items go in the correct bin.

These new additions will hopefully help to ease the overloading of the general waste bins that are currently present and reduce the number of times the bin gets left by the collectors.

If you are unsure what goes in each bin or require more information regarding recycling, the rubbish-recycling section of the council website has more information.

Collections for the general waste bin will remain the same on a fortnightly schedule while the recycling bins will be emptied every 4 weeks.
