Estate Audit - Conker Grove and Acorn Avenue

We carried out an estate inspection of Conker Grove and Acorn Avenue, Louth on 9 August.

Overall, we were pleased to find that the estate was in good condition, with gardens throughout the area being well maintained and cared for. Thank you to all residents who continue to take pride in their homes and neighbourhood. Your efforts help make the estate a pleasant place to live for everyone.

We appreciate that some of the communal grassed areas are not currently looking their best. This is largely due to the recent periods of extreme heat and dry weather, which have had an impact on grass and planting across the estate. We are hopeful that, with cooler temperatures and some rainfall, these areas will recover and return to being lush and green in the coming weeks.

We are also pleased to confirm that approval has now been received for a new bin storage area at the flats on Acorn Avenue. The current area is not sufficient for all the residents to store bins safely. We are currently awaiting confirmation of a start date for the works and will provide a further update once this has been confirmed.

Future Actions

Following the inspection, we will:

  • Continue to monitor the condition of communal green spaces and assess whether any additional grounds maintenance work is required once the warmer weather has passed.
  • Progress the approved bin storage project at the flats on Acorn Avenue and keep residents updated on timescales for the works.
  • Monitor the estate for any environmental issues, including fly-tipping, littering and untidy communal areas, to ensure standards are maintained.
  • Review any opportunities to enhance communal areas, including additional planting or biodiversity improvements where appropriate and within available budgets.
  • Continue carrying out regular estate inspections to identify any maintenance concerns and ensure they are addressed promptly.

How You Can Help

Residents play an important role in maintaining the appearance of the estate. You can help by:

  • Reporting any repairs, environmental concerns or anti-social behaviour as soon as possible.
  • Continuing to maintain gardens and outdoor spaces.
  • Disposing of waste responsibly and making full use of bins and recycling facilities.
  • Letting us know about any ideas you may have to improve the local environment or community spaces.

Thank you for helping us keep Conker Grove and Acorn Avenue clean, safe and welcoming places to live. We look forward to sharing further updates on the bin storage works once a start date has been confirmed.
