Community Clean Up Day 13 August 2025

Following our Park Springs Community Day, we decided to hold a community clean up day focusing on Richardson Rise and Dunstall Walk, which are areas I've noted are often flytipped on.

The aim was to improve the general appearance of the area, empowering the community to take pride in the estate and their gardens by giving them the opportunity to clear out unwanted items.

We provided a total of 5 skips across the site, all of which were filled very quickly.

Our Clearance team worked throughout the day assisting residents in removing unwanted items that could not go in the skips and clearing fly tipping.

Myself and 2 of my colleagues were litter picking throughout the communal areas.

During the day I spoke with members of the community who were shocked at the hidden costs involved in clearing up flytipping. If you see flytipping, or are able to provide information on who may be flytipping, please let us know, you are our eyes and ears on the estate. When we have evidence of who is perpetrating this particular crime, there is action we can take.

It was a great day filled with community spirit and so satisfying to see how much everyone achieved. A massive thank you to all involved.
